The auto policy covers you and members of your household while driving in an insured car or any other car not furnished for your regular use. It covers other people when they are driving your insured vehicle with permission.

An example of an auto claim:

Customer called and said that they slid on an icy road and hit the vehicle in front of him. That vehicle was then pushed into the vehicle in front of them. Now you could have possible injuries in two different vehicles and damages done to both vehicles and most likely damage to your own vehicle. Your bodily injury coverage pays for the injuries caused by the accident. Your property damage coverage pays for the damage done to the vehicles that you have damaged with your vehicle. Collision coverage would coverage damage done to your vehicle minus your deductible.

Below is a brief description of coverage you will need for your car, truck, van or any personal vehicle you drive.

Automobile Bodily Injury Liability:
“In an accident where you are found to have been at fault, it pays for the medical treatments, rehabilitation, or funeral costs incurred by another driver, the other driver's passengers, passengers in your car, and pedestrians.”

Property Damage Liability:
“Repair or replacement of other peoples vehicles or property that someone insured on your policy damages in an accident.”

Medical Payments Coverage:
“Also called "Med Pay", it pays physicians and hospital bills, rehabilitation costs, and some funeral expenses for you and your passengers. It also pays limited compensation for services needed during convalescence.”

Medical Payments has increased to the amount of at least $10,000 however applicants and insureds may reject this coverage.

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage:
“It pays you and members of your household for medical costs, rehabilitation, funeral costs, and losses from pain and suffering resulting from an accident caused by a driver who does not have insurance or lacks sufficient insurance. Underinsured motorist coverage may no longer be rejected in the State of Wisconsin effective June 1st, 2010.”

Limits of Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage have increased to a minimum of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident.

Rental Reimbursement and Towing Coverage:
“Rental reimbursement pays about $15 per day up to 30 days; towing pays anywhere from $50 to $100 per tow.”

“Towing Pays for towing your wrecked car or disabled car after an accident.”
